Hailing from Hawke’s Bay, Ella blends raw emotion with a modern edge, creating original songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. Her signature sound has been described as sweet and soulful with a hint of country, layered with storytelling that lingers long after the music stops.

A natural on stage, Ella is a two-time Smokefree Rockquest solo/duo winner (2021 & 2022), a Play It Strange Peace Song finalist, and a Live Lounge top-three finalist. She’s performed at major events including Christmas at the Park, Hawke’s Bay Sports Awards, Outfield Festival, and Cape Estate’s Boxing Day Festival — gaining a reputation as a standout live performer.

In 2023, Ella made her biggest debut yet — opening for Rod Stewart at the iconic Mission Concert, sharing the stage with legends Cyndi Lauper and Jon Stevens.

Her most recent single due in October, “Losing My Mind,” has been funded by NZ On Air and will be available on all major streaming platforms. Ella has reached a national audience when two of her songs featured on TVNZ’s hit drama Shortland Street, further cementing her rising-star status.
